All profits generated by the establishment are donated in full to NAP (Nouvel Âge du Partage), a non-profit organisation dedicated to helping underprivileged children in Dakar.

Off the coast of Dakar, on the island of Ngor, La Maison du Bonheur welcomes you in a unique setting, in the heart of one of the most beautiful bays in the world.
Both a guesthouse and an art school, this unique place was conceived as an invitation to slow down, to dream, to create and to fully enjoy every moment.

A vibrant, warm and joyful space, designed as a true escape.
You will discover 9 themed suites, two restaurants, two bars, a swimming pool nestled in the heart of the vegetation, a suspension bridge and a performance stage.

Mon Ocean de Bonheur
Facing the Atlantic, Mon Océan de Bonheur offers a more intimate and peaceful experience.
A haven of serenity suspended above the sea, lulled by the sound of the waves and the sunsets.
Here you will find the Rouge Passion and Surfer Angel suites, a gourmet restaurant as well as a space dedicated to massages and wellness.
The venue can also be entirely privatized to host seminars, conventions, receptions or private events in an exceptional setting.
Experiencing Ngor differently

A restaurant in the "Mon Océan de Bonheur" area located by the ocean with
an exceptional menu, created by Chef Alphonse.
At the restaurant "My Ocean of Happiness," you'll be mesmerized by the sight of waves crashing
in front of your table. Our renowned chef, Alphonse, will elevate this moment with culinary delights
straight from the sea, because here, happiness is homemade. In addition to his traditional Senegalese dishes,
he will prepare all the fresh seafood and fish of the day (red carp, thiof, etc.)
in three variations: as carpaccio, grilled, or in a sauce flavored with Casamance herbs.

Almanda Rumba (etymology of rumba: maritime route). In addition to the traditional organic grill of meat and fish of the day, chef Alphonse will introduce you to the rumba of Senegalese flavors and according to his desires, he will change gastronomic course by stopping mainly in Morocco (The famous couscous of Alphonse, in Italy (His pasta al dente with seafood) and especially in Ivory Coast, the native land of Almanda.

La Maison du Bonheur, is an "ecolodge" in total harmony with the local population and nature, using solar energy, which can sometimes cause small inconveniences (e.g., in the absence of sun, a longer delay to get hot water).
Energy restrictions may apply to the use of air conditioners and mini-bars.
Ngor is not electrified and was chosen by the Senegalese government as the pilot site for its zero waste and renewable energy program. For these reasons, we only use the generator in exceptional circumstances during the very hot periods from July to October to power the mini-bars and air conditioners.
We apologize for these restrictions.
During other periods you can order drinks at reception and use the fans in your rooms.
