La MAISON DU BONHEUR complex is unique in its kind.

This establishment, located on Ngor Island off the coast of Dakar, Senegal, functions both as an Art School and a Guest House. It's an ideal place to relax and enjoy a dream stay in an idyllic setting. The site can also be privatized to organize your conventions, seminars, weddings, anniversaries, or any private events.

TRANSPORTATION

Located just minutes from Dakar, Ngor Island is accessible from the parking lot at the Ngor village pier. A boat will take you to the island. Secure VIP transport to Ngor Island is available at a round-trip price of €3 during the day and €8 at night, with a duration of approximately 10 minutes.

FREEDOM Freedom for families with children: If you're coming with several children, you have the option to grant them—and especially yourself—freedom. They can sleep together in a fairy-tale dormitory under the supervision of a gentle nanny (available for an additional fee), who can also entertain them during the day, allowing you to rediscover the intimacy of your couple during your stay at the Maison du Bonheur.

EXCURSIONS

Ngor Island is ideally located for a wide range of exciting excursions:

Yoff Fish Market

After a 15-minute boat ride from Ngor Island, come and experience the incredible spectacle and lively atmosphere as dozens of traditional fishing boats (pirogues) return around 6 p.m., unloading their fresh catches directly onto the beach.

The Famous African Renaissance Monument

You can admire it from the highest terrace of La Maison du Bonheur. Just a 20-minute taxi ride away, this iconic monument houses a fascinating museum and offers breathtaking panoramic views of Dakar and Ngor Island.

Gorée Island

Approximately one hour away, Gorée Island stands as a powerful symbol of remembrance of the transatlantic slave trade, with its historic House of Slaves and its famous doorway overlooking the ocean.

The Lompoul Desert

A small desert of golden sand dunes located halfway between Dakar and Saint-Louis. Concerts and cultural events are held here at certain times of the year.

Lake Retba (The Pink Lake)

Made famous by the legendary Paris-Dakar Rally, this remarkable destination is well worth a visit, offering exciting quad bike and 4x4 adventures through the dunes and along the Atlantic coastline.
